In a converted farm house, down a track off the main road on the outskirts of Vale Parra, Guia lies a rustic restaurant and bar in the heart of Quinta da Saudade. There are few signs pointing out Restaurante & Bar Quinta da Saudade but such is its reputation for its blend of traditional Portuguese food with a Mediterranean contemporary twist, everybody knows it is here.
Restaurante & Bar Quinta da Saudade philosophy is to lean into the freshness, selection and quality of the local produce to make their tasty starters, moreish mains and mouth-watering desserts. Their fish and seafood is caught off their coast, their prime meat, herbs and vegetables are raised on their land.
The menu is on the small side but easily covers all needs. It’s well suited to cater for children to the more adventurous adults, with plenty of choice for vegetarians. They also have an excellent wine list which reflects the amazing wines Portugal and the local region have to offer. During the summer months Restaurante & Bar Quinta da Saudade run a traditional Portuguese BBQ buffet with live music. It’s a perfect time to sample the fantastic local food, meet people and take in the breath taking views.
