Earlier this month our fabulous and very knowledgeable villa specialist Ann, spent a few days out in the Algarve visiting some of our newest villa additions, and some old favourites too.
Our villa experts make it a priority to personally visit and view as many of the villas that we offer, so that they can advise and guide our customers on the right villa for them.
Here's what Ann got up to and a selection of her favourite villas that she visited...
I arrived in the Algarve on a glorious April, Monday morning. I collected my car from EPI Rental which after walking 10 mins from arrivals to car park 4 is only a quick minibus ride to their office to do the paperwork. I was then soon on my way to Vale do Lobo. I did a quick shop at Pingo Doce in Almancil en-route to get some essential items…wine!
I then arrived at my residence for the next few days, the great Apartment Jacinda. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay and the pièce de résistance is a very private roof terrace with Jacuzzi, which was great to relax in after a day’s travelling. 😎

In the evening I called an UBER which only took 2 minutes to arrive, and I headed to one of my favourite restaurants, Mr Frango in Almancil, for some chicken Piri Piri which was fabulous as usual.
A morning well spent at the Praca
The following morning, I headed to the Praça a for a leisurely breakfast. The Praça is a central area in Vale do Lobo that serves as a hub for dining, entertainment, and socialising within the resort. It’s located near the beach and features a large open-air plaza surrounded by several restaurants, bars, and shops. Perfect for finding a place to eat out or somewhere for quiet drink.
After a leisurely breakfast whilst enjoying the breath-taking views out to sea, I did a quick visit to the Well Beach Bar & Pool. A popular beachfront bar. The bar is situated on the Vale do Lobo beach, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and features a large outdoor pool for guests to enjoy. There’s a children’s play area only a short walk away which is great for entertaining younger children. And for slightly older children and big kids too, there is a mini golf course with its very own robo keeper.
Tejo, Quinta do Lago
After a lovely breakfast and my visit to the fantastic Well Beach Bar, it was then time for me to head off and visit some villas. I travelled the short distance to the prestigious resort of Quinta do Lago and visited the fabulous Villa Tejo. Villa Tejo is a magnificent villa with a large garden for children or adults to utilise and only a five-minute drive to beach and Quinta do Lago lake.
Villa Panache, Quinta do Lago
After viewing the magnificent villa Tejo, I was off on my way to the next villa, Villa Panache. A beautiful villa with a large swimming pool and great garden. The villa includes its very own putting green.
Villa Coogee, Vale do Lobo
My next visit was to a new addition to the Sun-hat portfolio, villa Coogee. I travelled the short distance to Ocean Club where this impressive villa is located.
Villa Coogee is a beautiful new modern villa and just a short walking distance to Julia’s beach and it’s choice of restaurants. The far-reaching ocean views from Villa Coogee roof terrace are truly spectacular.
Villa Bondade, Quinta do Lago
My next visit was Villa Bondade on Pinheiros Altos so I was back off to Quinta do Lago. Villa Bondade on Pinheiros Altos is another beautiful addition to the Sun-hat Villas portfolio. The villa is located in a very peaceful and very private location and is beautifully furnished throughout. There is also a children’s pool.
Casa Clare, Quinta do Lago
Next it was Casa Clare. If you prefer a villa with lots of space Casa Clare is for you. A great modern villa with huge garden for you to enjoy and listen to birds singing. Plenty of entertainment for children and lots of space for them to play, including a small football pitch and a basketball net. This lovely villa is also very secure with electric gates leading to the drive.
Villa Verde, Quinta do Lago
Next it was the stunning Villa Verde. If you want to keep all ages entertained Villa Verde near Quinta do Lago is the one! The villa comes complete with a putting green, table tennis, pool table, gym and even its very own cinema room.
Villa Berita, near Vale do Lobo in 'The Village'
My next villa was located over in the ‘Village’ which is a lovely peaceful urban area, only 5 mins drive from the resorts of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago. We have a number of villas here but I visited our newest addition, Villa Berita.
Villa Berita is another great villa with modern internal features and furnishings. This gorgeous villa features a games room, gym as well as a table tennis table. If you want to just relax by the pool which can be heated, there are plenty of sun loungers and great outside dining area.
Casa Palmeira Verde, in Quadrahinos area of Vale do Lobo
If you want to be close to the facilities of Vale do Lobo and have great views over the Royal golf course whilst still having a very private garden and pool area, Villa Palmeira Verde on The Quadrahinos area of Vale do Lobo is a great choice, beautifully renovated and modern features throughout.
Villa Claremont, Vale do Lobo
On the opposite side of fairway is the fabulous six bedroom Villa Claremont. This villa is situated in a great location, on the road and within easy walking distance from the Praça. And In the opposite direction you have the local Pingo Doce supermarket where you can get everything you need, including fresh bread and orange juice for breakfasts, which always taste better sat outside in your garden.
The villa garden is very private as there is hedging around the perimeter and to keep you entertained there is a table tennis & football table too.
After a busy week viewing lots of gorgeous villas in the sun, I was sad to leave the beautiful weather behind as I headed back to the office in the wet and windy UK and back to reality.
