Overview

Vila Balaia is beautiful and select resort that offers eight modern and spacious luxury boutique one bedroom villas that are set amongst landscaped gardens and with a shared communal pool that is heated between the months of March and November. Vila Balaia is ideally located very close to the bustling town of Albufeira with beautiful sandy beaches and a lively nightlife, and where the town's modern marina is also a base for diving trips and dolphin-watching boat trips. These lovely villas are comfortably designed to a premium standard and feature a tennis court on the resort and also provide access to a nearby golf-course.

Up to two children (3-12 years) or 1 Adult can be accommodated on the living room double sofa bed. Alternatively an extra bed for a single person can be provided upon request if clients prefer this to using the sofa bed. There are three pricing brackets available at Vila Balaia- single/double occupancy; three adult occupancy or two adults and two children occupancy. For bookings of 2 adults and one infant/child, the single/ double occupancy rate applies plus a single infant/child supplement.

Accommodation

All eight properties were completely refurbished in 2022 and feature Bose speakers (so you can stream your favourite tunes directly from your smart device) and centralised air conditioning throughout with individual room controls. Each property has been tastefully decorated throughout and include a comfortable lounge/dining room with the sofa bed, a flat-screen Smart TV offering a selection of international cable channels (please bring your own log-in credentials to enjoy Netflix, Amazon Prime etc) and there is also an i-Pod docking station.

The fully equipped kitchen is well equipped with appliances including an integrated electric oven, grill & microwave, Nespresso coffee machine (a few capsules are provided for your stay), four electric hobs, an extractor, washing machine, toaster, dishwasher, kettle and an iron and ironing board.

Patio doors from the lounge lead to a furnished, decked terrace complete with a BBQ and all villas overlook the manicured gardens and the communal pool (heated between the months of March to November).

Sleeping accommodation is an en suite king-size double bedroom with fitted wardrobes, dimmer lights and an adjacent bathroom with a walk-in shower and double vanities. Bathrobes are also provided. Please note that in three of the villas the master king-size bed can be split into singles upon prior request, please speak to the Sun-hat reservations team should you require this.

Resort Facilities

Guests can cook their own meals or enjoy traditional cuisine from the Algarve region in one of the nearby restaurants. Guests can also request breakfasts to be delivered to the property daily (supplement applies). Activities such as hiking and biking through the natural surroundings or a game of tennis on one of the tennis courts are available. Praia da Oura is a 5 minute drive away and has a beautiful blue flag beach and there are many restaurants, clubs and bars in the local area.

Rates

All guests are welcomed by the Vila Balaia representative who will check you in to your villa. The accommodation rates include air conditioning throughout, Wi-Fi internet, a daily maid cleaning service, bathroom towel change every two days, and a bed linen change every four days and there is free parking. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a safe are provided for your convenience. Villa Balaia charge a mandatory end of stay cleaning fee for each booking which appears on the supplements.
