Sa Tanca is a beautiful stone villa, owned by an award winning British Architect and affording the most wonderful views over Deia, the sea and the surrounding mountains. It is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, above the world famous La Residencia Hotel and is only a few minutes’ walk from the village, with its selection of tapa bars, restaurants, boutique shops and two local supermarkets.
Sa Tanca is the perfect holiday retreat for those who are looking for a very comfortable home away from home, who do not wish to be tied to the use of their hire car and wish to feel very much part of the beautiful village of Deia.
Ground floor – accessed by 16 steps up from the parking area with space for two/three cars.
Offering spacious and very accommodation on two levels in the main villa & separate annexe, the interior is tastefully decorated throughout, featuring old and new furnishings and a variety of original artwork. A lovely feature is the traditional canopied seating area around the fireplace and the oak furniture, beamed ceilings and white walls all combine harmoniously, to create a relaxed and very comfortable and stylish environment throughout.
Living area with beamed ceilings, comfy three-seater sofa and 2 easy chairs, Satellite TV, DVD player, music system (with Bose speakers), WIFI and doors to terrace on two sides, archway to dining area with beamed ceilings, canopied seating area around a fireplace and breakfast bar to well-equipped kitchen with Corian worktops, electric oven, 2 ring gas hob & 2 ring electric hob, barbecue grill, microwave, dishwasher, pressurised steamer and doors to terrace, utility room with washing machine and tumble drier.
First floor – 1 bedroom with four poster bed, air-conditioning & ceiling fan, doors to Juliet balcony and en-suite full bathroom (with double basins and Jacuzzi bath), 1 double bedroom with air-conditioning & ceiling fan, doors to Juliet balcony and en-suite full shower room. 1 twin bedroom (suitable for children only), with beamed ceilings, air-conditioning & ceiling fan, 1 shower room, study and doors to terrace.
Exterior access off the back courtyard and steps up to annexe – 1 bedroom with four-poster bed, beamed ceilings, Satellite TV and air-conditioning & ceiling fan. Up three steps to study with WIFI and doors to terrace. Dressing area/walk-in wardrobes (and door connecting the annexe back to main villa and twin bedroom above). Up a further flight of steps to “tower bathroom” with double basins, free-standing bath and toilet.
Note – When the villa is occupied by 6 persons the annexe off the courtyard, comprising of 1 bedroom with four poster bed and 1 bathroom, is locked off by the owner.
This villa is only bookable for 6 persons in April, May, September & October and only for 8 persons in June, July & August.
This same care and attention to detail is also apparent in the exterior; a swimming pool* (which can be heated on a request basis at a supplementary charge) sits next to a well-tended lawn and there is a mature garden of palm, olive, fruit and cypress trees, and beautiful bougainvillea climber. There are a number of places to enjoy alfresco dining; the back courtyard is ideal for breakfast, the pool terrace is ideal for lunch with its shady pergola, and the wisteria covered front pergola terrace is perfect for evening drinks or dinner with wonderful views of Deia, the sea and the sunsets beyond.
Cot and highchair are available on request, free of charge.
The villa will be cleaned and fully prepared for arrival. There will be a clean and change of bed linen & towels at the end of each week and in high season (July & August), a mid-week clean is also provided.

Air-conditioning available in the bedrooms.
Central heating available on request, for early or late season lets, at a supplementary charge.
Pool heating available on request, at a supplementary charge (not available during the period 1 June - 30 September).
Note – The owner has requested no smoking at this property.
There is a local tourist tax called ECO TAX for all visitors to the Balearic Islands, the cost is 2 Euro and 20 Cents per person per night for persons 16 years and over for the first 8 nights, after which the rate reduces to 1 euro 10 cents per night. This tax is payable by the visitor, however it is collected by Sun-hat Villas & Resorts on the final accommodation invoice and passed by our local agents to the Balearics Government.

Prices quoted are per villa per week. Please note where your holiday dates cross multiple price bands the total holiday price is calculated per day per price band.
The rates quoted for 2025 bookings are based on 2024 rates and are subject to final confirmation around Oct / Nov 2024 (but could be later) when contracts are signed.
There is a local tourist tax for all visitors to Soller & Deia.
