Overview

Set within the impressive hills, Villa del Vino is just 3kms from picturesque Panzano with its restaurants, wine and coffee bars, all kind of shops and the lovely Sunday morning open-air market. The famous Conca d’Oro, the ‘Golden Basin’, and the surrounding hillsides, produce some of the world’s most renowned Chianti Classico wines. Formerly a farmhouse, of over 900 years old, Villa del Vino is a beautiful two-level property, set in a verdant, typically Tuscan garden landscape. You will find the classical Tuscan interior, the rustic architecture of stone walls, wood beamed ceilings and marble surfaces and outside there are terraces, patios and a pergola at your disposition to enjoy. The varied landscape around the estate shows Tuscany at its best: softly undulating hills, orderly vineyards, wild flowers, broom bushes, age-old cypresses and holm oaks as well as silvery olive groves - soothing vistas up to the horizon.

Note - The owners are winemakers and also cultivate olive trees. They are organic farmers and care about the environment and overall sustainability. They strive to keep the ecological footprint, and impact on the natural resources as small as possible, using solar panels and hybrid cars and grow only water efficient plants.

Ground floor:

Entrance to a spacious kitchen with oven, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and breakfast table, dining area with fireplace and table for 12 persons, spacious living room with Satellite TV, DVD player, iPod dock & blue tooth speakers and WIFI, second living room with sofa-bed, second (little) kitchen and a guest cloakroom.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

First floor:

There are five double bedrooms (two of which can be converted into twin bedrooms), four bathrooms/showers (two of which are en-suite). Note – additional sofa bed in living room.

Note – New, there is air-conditioning in the bedrooms for the 2024 season, as well as screens & fans in all bedrooms too.

Outside Space

Very spacious grounds, with views onto the picturesque hilly Chianti landscape and the village of Panzano.

Spacious terrace with lounge area, outside dining area, day bar area and barbecue.

Rectangular swimming pool, 12m x 5m, with metal stepladder into the pool (open mid-May to mid-October).

Other Items

Rates include the consumption of electricity for the air-conditioning, gas for cooking, water consumption, towels with a weekly change, bed linen with weekly change, pool towels, mid-week cleaning of 4 hours and final cleaning. Excluded - gas for heating, fire wood and tourist tax - the cost for tourist tax is 2.00 Euro per person, per night for a maximum of 7 nights and it is payable locally, the charge is applicable to all guests aged 14 years and over.

Additional services payable to the property manager are extra maid service, dinners upon request, driver, babysitting, massages, telephone bills, fire wood. The housekeeper of the villa will be happy to provide a food pack for you upon arrival, the price will be the hourly cost of the maid to do the shopping, plus the receipt for the groceries. Please advise us of the list of groceries you would like to have when you arrive. Additional towel changes €25 per set, additional maid service €15 per hour.
